NNIT has supplied three years of quality service to Novo Nordisk China's SAP system
As the world's leading pharmaceutical company in the production of insulin, human resource planning and controlling are very critical to Novo Nordisk. For Novo Nordisk China, this implies that their SAP system is a critical system and needs to address two main challenges:
1) To support massive user data management and complicated Compensation and Benefit (C&B) policies; and
2) To guarantee 99.5% system availability, 24/7 support, and fast response on incident/problem handling with a minimum of downtime.
Aside from the above, Novo Nordisk China also needs to ensure the integrity of the SAP system documentation with no major findings in audits.
At the end of 2013, Novo Nordisk China outsourced their SAP Basis operation to NNIT. And, at the end of 2014, they expanded the outsourcing agreement to include SAP Functional support as well. The services NNIT delivers to Novo Nordisk China cover SAP Basis platform operation, daily support, system change, etc. As of today, NNIT has helped Novo Nordisk China to close system gaps, standardize operational processes and documentation, pass audits with no major findings, and deliver a sound and stable SAP system.
In the transition project prior to the operation, NNIT performed detailed system analysis and risk assessment of the SAP system, based on the system architecture, configuration, and resource allocation. Based on the result, NNIT experts implemented a number of changes to close the gaps. Meanwhile, the SAP monitoring and auto matic alarm system were set to further prevent minor issues from becoming major incidents.
Furthermore, NNIT standardized the documentation of system architecture and operational process. In an audit immediately after NNIT’s take-over, Novo Nordisk China successfully passed the audit on the SAP system, which proved to be a stable and robust IT system with a high level of compliance. The service on SAP has gained NNIT high recognition from Novo Nordisk China and proved NNIT to be a trusted and value-adding IT partner.

NNIT’s quality of service supports not only a large number of users, but also 99.96% of system availability in 24/7, which exceeds the KPI of 99.5%. The SAP monitoring and automatic alarm system facilitate the realization of the promized service level. Consequently, any system data issues are handled the same day.
